Intro
The HERMES detector looks vertically symmetric, but when analyzing data one will realize that they don't give same results. Already raw track counts differ in top from the bottom. Various reasons for such differences exist: HERA is not top/bottom symmetric, the detector is not completely aligned, detectors are not equally efficient.
